I have a strong love for Sonoma county and wanted to highlight the many wineries that are so special. Sonoma has great diversity in their vintages due to the different terrains and weather climates. There are many different regions, such as Russian River and Sonoma Coast, featuring great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as the warmer Dry Creek Valley known for some of the world's best Zinfandel.  I couldn't begin to include all the wineries on the map but here are some highlights, most of which I've visited. For those of you who don't know Sonoma as well as it's more famous neighbor, I highly recommend both the region and the wines. It's one of my favorite regions in the world. - PB

Napa Valley is one of the most famous wine regions in the world. It's also known for its great restaurants with its many Michelin star restaurants.  Napa has a variety of terrains and weather climates, leading to the production of a variety of great wines.  Among the internationally acclaimed wines produced in this region are its Cabernet Sauvignon and Meritage blends, based on Bordeaux varieties.  Napa also offers a number of other varietals, including Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel and Cabernet Franc. With about 500 wineries in Napa, it's impossible to visit them all, but I have highlighted some of my favorites along with a number of iconic ones, including some of the world's best Cabernet Sauvignon producers. - PB
